Node outcomes for Outbound SMS and Conversation node
Personalise experiences based on the outcomes of a node – for example, if an Outbound SMS is unable to be sent, you can configure a fallback path to contact a customer via email or take an alternate action instead. Learn more about what will happen to your existing flows, and other FAQs.
Outbound SMS
New Outcomes tabs to configure 'Sent' and 'Not sent' outcome paths. Configure how the experience should continue after this node depending on these outcome paths. Learn more about Outbound SMS outcomes.
With the new release, we've improved your flows to be more reliable – an Outbound SMS now progresses on the Sent path after 10 minutes by default. This wait time is configurable, and exists to monitor for any sending failures that may occur.
Sent
The experience will continue on this path if no failure notifications are received within 10 minutes. This is paired with the 'Not sent' wait time, and is configurable by clicking on the pencil icon.
Not sent
If an error occurred within the 10 minutes, the experience will either end or continue on this path depending on its toggle settings. This is paired with the 'Sent' wait time, and is configurable by clicking on the pencil icon.
Conversation node
New Outcomes tab configure different experiences based on the outcomes of this node. Learn more about Conversation node outcomes.
Replies
The experience continues on the path if an inbound reply is matched to an expected or free reply path. Reply paths can be configured in the Replies tab.
Not sent
The experience will either end or continue on this path depending on the toggle settings. Specifically, the Outbound SMS part of this node has failed to send due to an error before a reply is received.
No reply
'No reply' has been moved to the Outcomes tab, and the functionality remains the same. The experience ends if no reply is received after the default 2 days. This no reply time is configurable by clicking on the pencil icon.
