What is Wait until a date and time?
The Wait until a date and time node holds the experience until a specific date and time is reached. This action is particularly useful when you need to schedule actions or communications to happen on a particular day and time, such as communications for an event or deadline.
Usage scenarios
For instance, a marketing team is sending event reminder emails to customers across the globe. They use a Criteria split to split paths based on region data from their CRM, and then they use Wait until a time period on each path (before each Outbound email) to ensure the emails are sent at appropriate times for corresponding regions.
Node configuration
Setting the time period
Date input: This field lets you select a specific date and time from a calendar dropdown. The workflow pauses at this step and continues once the chosen date and time is reached.
Timezone selection: Select the timezone for the region where the chosen date and time should apply. For example, if you're in Sydney, Australia, but need to send a campaign to customers in London, UK, at 9:00 AM their time — set the time to 9:00 AM and choose London, UK from the timezone dropdown.
