How to
Flow performance reporting with End points
Use End points to track key outcomes in your flows and gain real-time visibility into performance. Whether you’re measuring conversions, identifying successful journeys, or comparing A/B test variants, End points let you define and report on what matters most to your business.
What are End points?
An End point marks a specific outcome or result in your flow. When an experience reaches a named End point, Pendula logs it as successfully complete and counts it toward that metric on the activity summary. You can define as many End points as you like in a single flow—giving you a detailed view of how your flow is performing across different paths.
Configuring End points
To configure an End point in your flow:
-
Open your flow in the builder.
-
Find the end of a flow path (look for a grey circular button with an exit icon).
- Hover over it and you'll notice a 'Configure end point' helper; click to configure
-
When configuring, enter a name that reflects the outcome you’re tracking (e.g. Converted, Upsold, Dropped off, No reply received etc).
-
Save the node, and you'll notice the configured end point will now display it's name.
-
Save and activate your flow to start reporting.
💡 Tip: Use descriptive and consistent naming conventions to make reporting easier later on.
Viewing End point metrics
Once your flow is live, you can monitor how often each End point is reached:
-
View the Activity summary for your flow.
-
You'll see a breakdown of all named End points and how many experiences have reached each one.
-
Click View full summary to explore more detail and compare performance across outcomes.
These real-time metrics make it easy to see which paths are most effective, and where users may be dropping off.
Use cases
Some common ways customers use End points include:
-
Conversion tracking: Measure how many recipients followed through to a desired action.
-
A/B testing: Compare engagement the success between different flow paths.
-
Customer journey outcomes: Track if recipients responded, converted, or unsubscribed.
Syncing End point data with Activity Sync
If you're using Activity Sync, End point values are also available in the experience-finish
event. Look for the following fields:
-
"value"
– the configured name of the End point that was reached for that experience
This allows you to integrate End point tracking into your external reporting tools, CRMs, or dashboards.
