New email builder design

We've made updates to enhance the visual consistency and flexibility of the email builder. We’ve got a a fresh dark navy theme across the interface.

Dynamic content

We now support merge field helpers (dynamic content) in all Engagement Hub nodes. Now you can create more advanced channel templates, in addition to our existing flow paths, filtering and splitting. Iterate through lists and arrays, show and hide content based on data being present. Learn more about merge field helpers here.

Images and files in the email builder

Managing images and assets in the builder is now easier than ever. We've added the ability to search uploaded images, making it quicker to find assets.

Email builder UX improvements

We've refined the editing experience to make building emails smoother and more intuitive.

  • Ability to adjust letter spacing in existing tools for greater text customisation.
  • Custom buttons in text toolbar now support SVG, enabling richer button designs.
  • Improved UX for resizing image width, making adjustments more intuitive.
  • Renamed “Apply Effects” button to “Edit Image” and added double-click to edit.

Improved experience explorer & activity 'Details' view

We've rolled out some useful improvements to the experience explorer and the activity 'Details' views. Now you'll notice that each activity has an improved interface on the 'Details' tab; rendering email HTML or SMS bodies as a rich preview for message queued activity, surfacing activity timestamps in your local format, and highlighting failure messages amongst the changes.

We will continue to make improvements to the 'Details' view. The 'Advanced' view contains the existing code view for each activity, if needed.

Bug fixes & improvements

We've addressed multiple issues to enhance the stability, usability, and performance of the email builder:

  • Fixed text editor toolbar position when using custom buttons.
  • Cursor no longer jumps to the start while typing in an empty text box.
  • Fixed button tool merge fields not rendering correctly.
  • Text editor colour picker now properly displays available colours.
  • Fixed text editor unexpectedly closing while typing.
  • Fixed double borders appearing in number property editors and preview bar.
  • Fixed overflow issues in the comments panel for team collaboration.
  • Resolved property group icon alignment issues.
  • Fixed selection of 3-letter hex codes in the colour picker.
  • Hover colour now correctly applies to buttons in popups.
  • Editor no longer reloads when pressing Enter on link inputs.
  • Fixed broken link editor tags UI when adding many tags.
  • Fixed click detection issues when editing form fields.
  • Adjust letter spacing smoothly without counter step issues.
  • Fixed button/text tool appearance resetting after closing the colour picker.

Other changes:

  • History has now been removed.
